The Best Book Websites And Literary Blogs

“What are the best websites for book lovers?” We looked at 27 different lists and found 381 different websites perfect for literature lovers of all ages and genres.

The top literature websites we gathered are perfect for every book related subject you can think of. There are book recommendation websites, bookstore sites, literary blogs, book e-commerce sites, old books, book cover, review, criticism, list, ebook, history, and every other kind of book website you can think of.

Below you will find our countdown of the top 54 websites with links. There are a few (including the number 3 site) that have either merged with other websites, been bought out, or closed down. Fortunately, there are new book websites popping up every day (ahem) so even though there are close to 400 book websites listed below, it is nowhere close to being representative of all the wonderful sites that exist on the web.

After the top 54 websites that appear on multiple lists you can find the remaining 327 sites that appear on a single list each. The 27 sources we used are at the bottom of the page.

Happy Scrolling!

About:

“Book Riot is dedicated to the idea that writing about books and reading should be just as diverse as books and readers are. So sometimes we are serious and sometimes silly. Some of our writers are pros. Many of them aren’t. We like a good list just as much as we like a good review. We think you can like both J.K. Rowling and J.M. Coetzee and that there are smart, funny, and informative things to say about both and that you shouldn’t have to choose.

And the only thing we like as much as books is talking about books with other readers. So welcome to Book Riot—you seem like our kind of people.”

About:

If you simply want a quick recommendation, you only need to enter one book; click on the best match in the list that appears as you type and you will get some recommendations. The best thing to do, though, is enter a list of favorites. This will give you more focused recommendations, as well as helping to build the database and share your taste with other users of the site. If you enter your email address, your list of favorites will be remembered next time you visit, so you can then add new titles, create more lists, and get even more appropriate recommendations.
